It does not have to make you want to quit

26 Aug

bbcI have been reading a book about a guy that has a dream of becoming famous becoming famous so that he can silence the critics and naysayers the very people who condemn him as a failure as a nobody its one of those books that has a happy ending.

Yes the inevitable does happen he makes it to the top becomes very wealthy indeed and retires very young with all his old colleges yep you guessed it hovering around him the very people who run the poor guy down so much he almost thought of quitting and taking his own life he gave it his final shot and won guess what he did with the hangers on?

He dumped them all met new Friends new life and was yep you got it happy ever after.

Whats this got to do with eBay or any business for that matter simple just like the storey in the book your current eBay business is like a diamond problem is a diamond starts as a dirty old rock you have to keep on chipping away at the dirty old rock until you reveal the diamond sometimes the rock is massive and takes a while to reveal the diamond sometimes its small and reveals the diamond quicker either way it will reveal the diamond

You have to try many products on eBay before you can find the right one for you the one that will sell in abundance the one that will make you financially free but its all trail and error its a simple matter of chipping away until the right product is revealed.

start by selling what you think is good buy one or two see how you get on with them no good? no problem get a hold of something else until its revealed never ever give up.

The negative people the negative influences are the rock your self belief the belief in your idea is the diamond get rid of the negative stuff (the rock) and the diamond will reveal itself period.

Flash Content or Plain and Boring Websites?

14 Aug

bbcBy flash content I mean websites that look good with all the trimmings of a Christmas tree and enough lights to overshadow Las Vegas are they really any better than websites that are plain basic but get the message ac cross?

I think the plain is far more effective is more user friendly and gets more sales and gets the point across far more effectively than its flash brother.

Its a bit like bling or rather a dodgy salesman that wears bling like nobodies business would you trust that salesman? I doubt it.

These sites almost always take too long to load and bear in mind here that the average person on the Internet will only hang around for 8 seconds before they leave renders the good looking content pretty much useless as far as making that sale is concerned.

A site that loads quick has pictures that have been downsized and is on white background on the other hand speaks to the client in plain English is always user friendly easy to navigate  and is less likely to divert you prospects away in our hectic world of complications more and more people are looking to simplify things and your website is no different.

As soon as I got rid of the flash content from my eBay businesses things loaded quicker nothing got stuck and my sales increased the customer wants to see what he is buying not content that looks like he is buying from a bling

Try it and see its true all that glistens is not gold

eBay workshops in Yorkshire

8 Aug

bbcWorking on behalf of Business Link in Yorkshire we will be delivering eBay workshops beginning on the 27th October so anyone in that region should call Business Link and get booked on to the courses places will be limited.

Having lost a fabulous job in 2003 and jobs being very few and far between in Leicestershire I decided to take the plunge and try to build an eBay business and after much trial and error and lots of mistakes I now earn a full time income using the power of eBay you can do the same too.

Look if you are in a job and struggling to make ends meet why not use eBay to help generate an extra £100.00 per week handy for those bills that keep on coming and its not difficult to do.

You may be thinking of starting a business selling products or services or you already have an existing business and may be looking for an alternative route to market either way the power of eBay should be considered very strongly as part of your overall sales and marketing strategy.

And you know what once you get the buzz you think if I can make £100.per week why not £200 and so on and you can as long as you do it right there is no reason and I mean no reason why not.

So get selling its trail and error but the sooner you start the sooner you will arrive there are some fabulous tips and information on my website for you to use.

Good luck and until the next time
